Rims, nuts, sidewalls and the tread depth in the most worn part of each tyre.

7 items: 7 type A (one fails the test).

No nut or bolt is missing on either wheel: axle nuts, disc bolts and sprocket bolts.
Look at both sides of each wheel.

Neither rim is bent or dented.
Lift each wheel off the ground on the stand and spin it slowly: it should run true without wobbling.

Neither rim has a crack, including around the spokes and the valve.
Clean the rim and look closely all round, on both sides.

In its most worn part the front tread is at least 1 mm deep and not below the wear marks.
Find the small triangle on the sidewall: it points to the wear bar in the grooves. If the tread is level with the bar, the tyre is worn out.

In its most worn part the rear tread is at least 1 mm deep and not below the wear marks.
The rear tyre usually wears fastest in the centre. Check the wear bar there.

The front tyre has no cut, bulge, split or separated rubber on the tread or the sidewalls.
Turn the wheel slowly and look all round both sides of the tyre.

The rear tyre has no cut, bulge, split or separated rubber on the tread or the sidewalls.
Lift the rear wheel on the stand, turn it slowly and look all round both sides.
