Papers and identification

Before the line, the centre records the motorcycle with its licencia de tránsito and SOAT, checks them in RUNT and compares the plate, make, class, service and colour.

Papers and identification

6 items: 0 type A (one fails the test), 6 paperwork.

Licencia de tránsito
Needed before the test

Licencia de tránsito

You have the motorcycle’s licencia de tránsito (tarjeta de propiedad) and it is valid.

The centre records the motorcycle with it and checks it against RUNT. Without it the inspection cannot start.

Not a workshop job: sort it out before the inspection.

SOAT valid on the day
Needed before the test

SOAT valid on the day

The SOAT is in force on the day you go to the inspection.

The law asks for a valid SOAT to inspect the motorcycle. Check the date in RUNT or on the policy.

Not a workshop job: sort it out before the inspection.

Plate at the back, readable
Needed before the test

Plate at the back, readable

One plate fixed firmly at the back, readable, not bent, painted over or covered.

Stand three metres behind the motorcycle and read it. The centre compares it with the licencia de tránsito.

Matches the licence

Matches the licence

Make, class, service and colour are the ones written on the licencia de tránsito.

Compare the motorcycle with the card. A new colour has to be registered at the transit office before the inspection.

Not a workshop job: sort it out before the inspection.

Driving licence with you
Needed before the test

Driving licence with you

You carry your driving licence: the centre may ask for it to check its restrictions.

Look at the restrictions printed on it (for example glasses) and bring what they require.

Not a workshop job: sort it out before the inspection.

Clean and unloaded
Needed before the test

Clean and unloaded

The motorcycle arrives clean enough to inspect and with no luggage, boxes or loads.

Wash off thick mud under the engine and around the brakes, and take off anything strapped to it.

Not a workshop job: sort it out before the inspection.
