Group 6 of 9
Panels, edges, rust and the two mirrors.

7 items: 6 type A (one fails the test), 1 type B (five fail the test).

Panels, mudguards and covers are firmly fixed and nothing hangs loose.
Push each panel gently and look under the edges of the seat and the tank.

No broken plastic, cut metal or bracket sticks out with a sharp edge.
Run your eyes along the outline of the motorcycle, especially after a fall.

Neither tyre touches a mudguard, the frame or the suspension, even with the handlebar turned.
Turn the handlebar lock to lock and push the motorcycle down on its suspension. Look for shiny rub marks.

The frame itself has no rust eating into the metal.
Look under the seat, at the engine mountings and around the swingarm pivot.

Bolts, brackets, covers and other parts away from the frame are not rusty.
Surface rust on small parts counts as a type B defect.

A left and a right mirror are fitted and both show the road behind you.
Sit on the motorcycle and look in each mirror.

The mirror glass is not broken and the mirrors stay in position.
Tap each mirror and ride over a bump: it should not turn or shake loose.
